DIY Vision Board

Hello Everyone!

To begin with, I've never really been into New Year's resolutions. One reason is because I like to constantly work on myself throughout the year and set goals for my self quite often. That's just me. If you're the type of person that actually makes New Year's resolutions then that's fine as well! The key is to follow through and reach any of our goals. How do we do that though?

Well personally, making a list of things I need to do is very helpful. Another way is making a VISION BOARD. For those of you that don't know what a vision board is, it is basically what those two words mean. It is a board of your visions/goals that you have. It can be for life or for the year. So below I created 5 steps to make your own vision board! I think it's such a fun and helpful idea. So I hope you all try it out and tell me about your vision boards in the comments or send me a photo of them on my social media! Keep striving for your goals and the happiness you deserve!

Here are some questions you can ask yourself in order to get started:
1. Who am I? Who do I want to became? Do I want a theme for my board? (fitness, career, spiritual)
2. What do I want? What do I want to change?
3. What do I like? What do I want to learn?
4. How will I get there? Who do I look up to?
5. What are my goals and ambitions?

What you need:
- Poster or cardboard
-Markets, color pencils, paint/paintbrushes
-Stickers, photos, cut-out letters

Each of these photos & quotes represent something very important to me.

Below are some close-up photos of the vision board that I made! :-) Obviously I have YouTube and blog on there because I just want to keep this journey going. It's a huge part of my life that makes me very happy. So I started off by purchasing a black cardboard and then drawing a sunflower in the center. I then expanded the sunflower by drawing a mandala and used watercolor and acrylic paint for it. I did a second coat of paint after it dried and then used dark blue to figure paint the outer parts, that's why it looks a bit black. At the bottom I used two shades of green paint to make a messy line, symbolizing nature. After the painting part was done, I gathered the photos and taped them on because I didn't want to ruin the board itself with glue.

I used a texture technique for the center of the sunflower

I also used texture for my yang & yang sign

Each petal was carefully drawn into the thick cardboard in order to individualize them and allow them to have a paint texture

Be fearless & smile!
