Back-to-School Advice

Hello Everyone!

Since it is that time of year again when some of us go back to school I decided to share a few tips and thoughts about it, especially for the first day. I happen to go back next Monday so that's that, also make sure to let me know in the comments what grade you are entering or have entered this year. That's be rad. I hope you all enjoy reading them and find them helpful! Xo

1. Get a good night's sleep-
This has always been recommended when starting school again and it is actually very important. Trust me, you do not want to feel exhausted the first day or have puffy eyes. You're going to need the energy to look for classes and hear any information from teachers that you're going to need that week and such.

2. Breakfast-
It's a good idea to eat something before school so you're not hungry before lunch or so you don't go through that awkward moment of your stomach growling in class. I've been there haha. What should you have for breakfast? Well it all depends on personal preference. Some people like a full meal with pancakes or waffles. I usually go for oatmeal, fruit, coffee, or juice. If I'm in a hurry I would choose a protein shake or fruit/vegetable smoothie.

3. Pack the night before-
This is something that I've done all my life because if you think about it, by doing this it gives you extra time in the morning that you can use for sleep or do anything else that you need to do before school. So you won't have to worry about over-thinking an outfit or forgetting something, like your schedule in the morning :-) Also I personally, like to bring a snack & a water bottle is a must! I get hungry alright!

4. Don't over pack-
It is also importation to not over pack because you don't want to carry everything around all day. So if you don't need everything on the first day, DON'T BRING IT :-) I don't actually get a ''supply list'' (the teachers tell us what to bring within the week) so I always bring a notebook, loose paper, pen & pencil, and a folder for any papers that will most likely be given to you on the first day.

5. Do not be late-
Well you don't want to be late on your first day, especially if you have not had an orientation or are new to the school. If you're a little early or at least not late you can check out the school or look around for anything that you need. If you're like me though and don't want to be stared at for being the last one to walk into class then this will help as well haha

Overall, I really hope you all have a great first day (if you have not started) and entire year! Try to make the best out of it because you have to go anyway. I know that it's hard to let go of the fun and comfortable Summer days, but I look at it this way.. change comes inevitably so we should just accept it. School is part of life, well luckily for some of us. Keep a positive attitude towards things and ignore the ones that don't make you happy. Remember that bad situations are not forever.
