Cheers to New Begininngs... 2018!

Image
Hello Everyone! I want to start off by saying thank you to my amazing boyfriend Eric for motivating me to do an end of the year post. Let's just say that my mind has been very scattered for the past couple of days due to me getting sick from an annoying cold & something negative that happened. Anyway, this year was extremely difficult. A lot of painful things happened, but I feel like this year tested me in a lot of areas. I learned a lot. 2017 was also VERY surprising, someone would've told me in 2016 everything that would happen... I wouldn't have believed them at first. Lol my siblings and friends made it all worth it though. I adore them. Overall, I want to end this year giving closure to all the things that happened. No resentment to anyone that I cut off, I just needed to do so because I try to surround myself with only genuine and kind people. I'm a huge believer I growth and compassion. So I cannot be around people who are not true to themselves and a

How To Meditate? What is meditation?

Image
Hello Everyone! So I really wanted to write about something that I'm passionate about, but I did not know what to choose until it finally clicked! MEDITATION. I'm not sure if you're personally familiar with what meditation is. It is defined as a practice where a person trains their mind or induce a mode of consciousness. Personally, I believe that meditating is progressive... the power to meditate is within us already. In order to properly meditate we must ask ourselves WHY. What is your reason to meditate. If you have no reason, well that's even better! Some people begin to meditate because it helps them re-calibrate. That's how I see it, it brings me back in touch with my inner stillness. With everything going on in our everyday lives, we get sucked into society's standard's and worrying about dumb shit like what people think of you. When you mediate you RECOGNIZE your thoughts, you are aware of them, but you must ignore them. Do not make the mistake

Hello Everyone! Long time, no type. I felt the need to write a new post about the devastating situation that is happening in Mexico and Puerto Rico. As you all know Puerto Rico was hit by a hurricane this past month and there have been several earthquakes in Mexico. It breaks my heart because of all the people who were affected by these events... children passed away and people were left without their families, homes, and necessities like clothes & toiletries. Personally... my dad and his family are from Oaxaca, Mexico which is one of the places that was horribly affected. FORTUNATELY! I've been seeing a lot of people come together to help those affected which makes me extremely happy! From celebrities like Ana Brenda Contreras to people pitching in whatever they can. Whatever amount you can donate ALWAYS makes a difference! Please check out the links below that I provided. DO NOT DONATE TO THE RED CROSS. DONATE TO NON-PROFITS. Let's help these people out. You never know w

Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month | March

Image
Hello everyone! March was Multiple Sclerosis awareness month. MS is a very terrible disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective coverings of nerves. The people who suffer from this illness go through: pain the back or eyes, tremor during precise movements, muscular cramping, fatigue, dizziness, heat intolerance, weakness, abnormality of taste, reduce sensation of touch, anxiety, mood swings... the list goes on. I've met two people in my life having to live with this disease and that is why I am writing about it today. Before, I had no idea it even existed. It is horrible for us humans to be unaware of what our brothers and sisters face. I've heard from these people how a lot of society does not recognize their pain just because it is not visible all the time. The government/health programs need to keep researching this chronic central nervous system sickness in order to find a cure. As of now, most patients go through physical therapy and counseling.

Hello everyone! So I've been interested in astrology ever since I was a kid, it's super fun to read. I believe that they're pretty accurate. So check out your horoscopes down below for the month of February. Hope yall enjoy! Let me know your thoughts on astrology or your sign. Aries: March 21-April 19 What's your main goal in life? The 1st, 2nd and 3rd are perfect days to explore your options. Think big and disregard people who tell you there are too many limitations. You don't get the reactions you expect when you announce good news on the 8th and 9th, but that's okay; at least now you know who your friends are. If someone can't be happy for you, you don't need them around anyway. You are of completely sound mind and body on the 12th and 13th, and you take your health and all health-related matters very seriously. A new exercise routine or eating plan adds excitement to your days. You'll probably be the primary person put in charge of a grou

Goodbye 2016

Hello Everyone! I try to live life with no regrets. I'm learning to worry less and just enjoy life. For me, 2016 was definitely a year of experiences and emotional growth. When bad things happen... you have two choices. To let it consume you & kill you or to learn from it & use it for your benefit. I'm glad to say that mentally, I've changed a lot throughout 2016. Thanks to spirituality, I'm slowly becoming the person I want to be. Someone that does not want to judge others.... someone that has accepted that happiness is success and that it's not a destination. I don't want to change, but always better myself. I've become more forgiving. I'm discovering what unconditional love is. If you do things with love, it makes such a difference. One of the most important things that I've realized this year is... we're all on different paths in life, but we are all connected. We have to tolerate others even though they are different. This life is
